Swiss Research Shows Benefits of Vitamin D in Reducing Fractures

A recent analysis of published research from the study of over 31,000 people showed that taking between 800 and 2,00 international units (IU) of vitamin D resulted in 30% fewer hip fractures, as well as 14% fewer fractures of other bones in the body.
The study also showed that taking less than 800 IU /day had no benefits, suggesting that we need to consume this level as a minimum.
